The short version
I started Retatrutide in late November 2025. Four months later, I went from 196 pounds to 176. That’s 20 pounds without changing my workout routine, without a strict diet, without really trying that hard. The appetite suppression did most of the work.
I’m currently dosing between 5 and 6 mg per week. I’ve been surprised by how effective it’s been — enough that I’ve started recommending it to people I know who are researching similar protocols.
What I actually noticed
The first thing that hit was appetite. Within the first two weeks, I just wasn’t hungry the same way. I didn’t have to fight cravings or force myself to eat less — the desire for food just dropped. Meals got smaller naturally. Snacking basically stopped.
The weight started coming off steadily. Not dramatically — it wasn’t like I lost 10 pounds in a week. More like a pound here, a pound there, consistently. By the end of the first month I was probably down 6 or 7 pounds. By month two, I was clearly in a different place physically.
Energy stayed stable throughout. I didn’t get the crashes or fatigue that some people report with GLP-1 compounds. If anything, I felt lighter on my feet, which makes sense — I was literally carrying less weight around.
The side effects
The only side effect I’ve noticed is an intermittent skin sensation. It’s hard to describe — kind of a mild tingling or flushing that comes and goes. It’s not painful, not itchy, just noticeable. It’s been there since the beginning and it hasn’t gotten worse or better. I’d describe it as minor.
No nausea, which is apparently common with other GLP-1 compounds. No GI issues. No injection site reactions beyond the first few times figuring out my technique.
Adding CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin changed things
About a week ago I added CJC-1295/Ipamorelin to my protocol — 300 mcg every morning, fasted. The combination seems to have triggered another wave of weight loss. It might also be because the CJC requires a fasting window, which means I naturally eat less in the morning.
The recovery benefits from the CJC/Ipamorelin have been noticeable too. My body feels tighter. I feel more recovered after workouts. Sleep was better in the first few days, though I’ve been working late nights so it’s hard to isolate that variable.
The rest of the stack
I’m not running Retatrutide alone. My current full protocol is:
- Retatrutide — 5–6 mg/week (metabolic research)
- CJC-1295/Ipamorelin — 300 mcg daily, fasted (growth hormone)
- BPC-157/TB-500 — post-workout (recovery, inflammation)
- GHK-Cu — injection, on and off (skin, tissue repair)
I call it the Wolverine Stack. Each peptide targets something different, but they overlap on inflammation and recovery. The combined effect is that I feel like I barely need recovery time. I can train and feel ready to go again the next day.
What surprised me
Honestly, how well it works. I went into this with moderate expectations — I’d read the studies, I knew the mechanism, but I’ve been around enough supplements to know that results in a paper don’t always translate to results in practice.
Retatrutide translated. Twenty pounds in four months with minimal effort is significant. And the fact that I’m stacking it with other peptides that support recovery and tissue repair means I’m not just losing weight — I’m feeling better overall. My body feels better than it has in a long time.
What I’m watching next
I’m not adjusting anything right now. I’m in a good rhythm with the daily regimen and I want to see where it stabilizes. The weight loss has slowed down a bit, which I expected — the closer you get to a healthy baseline, the less your body wants to shed.
I’ll write another entry when I hit the six-month mark or if anything changes significantly. If you’re researching Retatrutide, feel free to reach out in the community — I’m happy to share what I’ve observed.
